How I discovered my passion for 心理学 (和 英语, too!)
Elena Tittel ’25 had no intention of becoming a 心理学 major. 她决心要宣布 an 英语 major 和 hadn’t thought about exploring a double major. 然而，在 first week of classes, she was immediately drawn to the 心理学系. At the start of her sophomore year, she declared a double major in 英语 和 心理学.
Elena describes some of her experiences as a 心理学 major at Skidmore.
How did you become familiar with the 心理学系?

During the fall of my first year, I also took Introduction to Psychology. 我做了这个 decision solely because I had taken AP Psychology in high school 和 figured I’d need to take Intro if I wanted to take another 心理学 class in the future. 不 I know that there would be many more 心理学 classes to come.

How can students get involved with 心理学 research?

In the spring of my sophomore year, I joined Visiting Assistant Professor Lisa Chalik’s Developing Minds Lab, which focuses on childhood cognition 和 behavioral 心理学.

Does the 心理学系 offer behavioral neuroscience courses?
